Coastal Creations Crab

This colorful Coastal Creations Crab is an original dimensional artwork created from pieces of my own dried artist paint palette—layers of acrylic paint left behind during the creative process that I save, cut, arrange, and transform into something completely new.

The shell is a lively patchwork of turquoise, sunny yellow, brilliant red, pink, blue, and green, with metallic gold accents woven throughout. The claws and legs are individually created from pieces of the dried paint palette, adding texture, dimension, and all the unexpected markings that make these pieces so distinctive.

Set against a simple light background, the vibrant colors take center stage, while bright metallic gold painted sides give the piece a finished look from every angle.

At 5" x 7", its small scale makes it easy to display on a bookshelf, desk, small easel, or as part of a gallery wall. It's a cheerful piece of original coastal art that brings color and a little Lowcountry personality to a beach house, coastal home, or any space that could use a touch of the coast.

Because the colors, markings, and textures come directly from my dried artist paint palettes, every Coastal Creation is an original. No two can ever be exactly alike.
